Region 4 Competition: We Reached Our Goal!

Scenic City Chorus is riding high in April and we're not about to be shot down in May.

Why? We went to Sweet Adelines Region 4 Competition last weekend with a specific goal in mind—scoring over 600 points—and we came home having accomplished what we set out to do!

Reaching this goal earned Jen Cooke, our director, the title of Master Director, and every chorus member earned the level of Master Singer. Our new yellow medals mean that we placed 4th overall in the competition. But the very best part? We set a new bar for ourselves and we're very excited to work on surpassing it!

Competition is not easy. From the moment we step on the stage until our last chord, four certified Sweet Adeline International judges carefully assess our performance—getting right down to the essentials and nuances of performance excellence in the barbershop craft. Scenic City Chorus along with all our competition worked hard for several months to prepare for this intense scrutiny.

Looks like our hard work paid off!
